Emilia Lisa Sterjova has been elected the youngest female Mayor for the city of Whittlesea ,Victoria.Emilia Sterjova was first elected as a councilor in 2016 and was also the youngest councilor at the time .
From November 2017 to November 2018 she held the position of Deputy Mayor of Whittles. The municipality of Whittlesea has a population of 197,500 and the number is increasing every year to about 8,000 new residents, most of them immigrants.
Emilia is Macedonian in origin and is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of International Relations and a Diploma in Indonesian.
