Last Saturday night at Dolton House in Sydney , the Ilinden Sports Club celebrated its50th anniversary
More than 550 guests were present on the official and jubilant evening, attended by former and current players, representatives from the Australian public and sports life , supporters and, of course, the Macedonian community who has founded and supported this club for generations.

Generations of Macedonians in Australia have grown up with the colors of FC Ilinden
The Ilinden Football Club exists since 1969 and it was founded by Simon Zipevski and late Vlade Temelkovski. The name Ilinden was chosen as a reflection of the St Ilija a holy Day and as a symbol of the national aspiration of the Macedonians for liberation. Today, the club has grown into a professional sports center where beside the football fields of A category, the club has a sports hall and a hall for ceremonies which serves as a pillar of the Macedonian community in SydneyCurrent president of the club is Mr Deins Lutter and technical director is Mr Michael Grbevski.
